Ben is a nice boy, and Caroline finds relief and happiness in their new playful friendship, while John continues to watch and grow more and more attached to Caroline and desperate for her every day. He thinks of nothing else, and barely seems to notice when he sets his own house ablaze. "Hearts of Avon" is abundant in twists and turns, and you never know what will happen in the next chapter.
